After Toulouse in 2007 and Venice in 2009, more than 400 scientists and experts from industry and academia are expected to gather in conjunction with the third International Congress on Green Process Engineering in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a venue that creates an environment conducive for the information exchange, generation of new ideas and acceleration of applications that benefit society. We welcome participants from across the globe to take part in this event which will be held on December 6-8, 2011.
Energy, the environment and human health are fast becoming the strategic priorities in this global world. Green Process Engineering, an emerging field of research, offers new opportunities and solutions addressing each of these priority areas. It applies innovative process engineering tools to design sustainable and safe chemical processes based on alternative product design and improved process efficiencies to solve the crucial problems of world energy, resources and environment.
GPE2011 will serve as a catalyst for the advancement of Green Process Engineering by connecting scientists and experts within and across disciplines from around the world. The previous events have played a leading role in facilitating interaction between researchers in this field. The 2011 event will continue this tradition of fostering collaboration among different communities and contributing to an integrative approach to Green Process Engineering across various engineering and chemical disciplines. The 2011 meeting will feature scientific program of comprehensive talks, plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations of peer-reviewed contributed papers. A range of social activities are also being planned which includes a Networking Dinner with Cultural Performances and sightseeing tours in and around the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur.
We look forward to welcoming you to Kuala Lumpur for the International Congress on Green Process Engineering !
